I forgot to mention that during our trip through the San Rafael Swells I GOT STUCK!!!  Yep, stuck in the mud.  We finished the first 30 miles off road then were headed north for the next 30 or so miles and came to a muddy wash.  The muddy ruts were too deep for the bug, but I thought if I stayed to the side and on top I could make it.  I inched forward and slowly slid off into the ruts.  Stuck.  It was Tuesday after labor day and we had not seen another soul all morning.  Found a piece of driftwood and dug out the mud from under the front tires Teresa steered and I pushed and we made it.  Sorry no pictures, Freudian slip I guess.

We made it on up to Salt Lake City and had dinner at Macaroni grill with Jim and Charlene.  Then we played Teresa's new addiction - Train Dominos.  We had a nice evening with them and bagels for breakfast and headed for my Mom's in Nampa, ID.  We had a very nice 4 days (I call it 5 even though we left on the morning of the fifth).

We had lunch with my Aunt Connie and Uncle Tom and of course played dominos...

Got to have my 58th birthday with them.  

We enjoyed our time with my Mom.  Thanks Mom.

I left her with a new Kindle Fire so she can keep abreast of our travels down under.  Seemed a bit overwhelming to her.  Hope she get used to it.

 We also got to spend some time with Scott's kids.  They sure are cute.  See for yourself.

Got a $25 (plus tax) at the Eldorado Casino in Reno.  Think we might stay for two nights before we head on to Monterey to spend a few a days with Claire and family.
