Mackay, QLD

So much to say, so little time! We had a lovely time with the Besley family in Barmoya.  So much to add from the last post.  We watched over the Besley homestead while they went to Brisbane to watch Harvey in his Masters class.  One of the horses came up sick while they were gone.  Laying down and thrashing about.  I knew I had not done anything different, still felt bad.  Tamara, their daughter came over and gave the horse a flu shot.  It seemed to be better even before the shot.  I think it was a horses "trick or treat".

We enjoyed the Capricorn Caverns and the Heritage Village and the CRCA Rodeo Finals.

Finished up the painting on Monday this week and bussed up to Mackay Wednesday night.  Jean picked us up at 5:30 yesterday morning and showed us around Mackay last evening.  Great beaches.

We're at McDonald's this morning, looking for a better solution for wi-fi.

Ok, it's catch up time !!!

After spending the afternoon at the beach we stopped at the grocery store and picked up a broadband router.  This is my first go at it.  Not cheap, but better than my escalating frustration.  So I have lots of pictures to catch up on.

Lets get started.

I can't see all of the ones selected but I think if I narrate you can figure it out.

There are a couple where we are feeding the little Kangaroos.  See the little pouch they made for them.  It even has a little fake comfort teat.

The birds are gallows.  They were spinning on the power line in the rain, getting a good soaking.

There is a picture of Julie and Trent Jenkinson and Ellie (the other helpx person).  Then there's one of Rob doing what he does best HAH !!!  Then there are a couple of Teresa and myself at their ranch sign and Ubobo.
